The Davis family roots can be traced all the way back to the days of the revolutionary war, with my great great great great great great grandfather John Goodridge, and his father David Goodridge. (delegate to the First Provincial Congress)
My own grandfather on my mothers side, Leslie Davis, worked on Wall St. before the big crash of 1929, and then ran a farm under the WPA during The Great Depression.
This side of the family really has direct links to founding of our country and I feel pretty good knowing that they came before me.
All of them are from the New England area, which might explain why I like to vacation there so much.
