Throwback Thursday

This was THE kick turn ramp trick in the early 80’s. A “Wilton”. Took me forever to figure this thing out and even then it was sketchy.

Within two years people would be doing these on 1/4 pipes 8′ out and I’d be going…WTF? Still…I had fun doing it!

For more BMX and brittle crazines pick up my book, “The Average BMXer” available on Kindle, and on Lulu.com in e-pub and Hardcover form.

This is Adam Stack’s blue whale in Basking Ridge, NJ about 1988. I had a tendency to do offbeat tricks back then and this was one. Framestand roll in. Just odd enough to be fully me, LOL. So many great times on that ramp. Oh and this is right when we got on General, so I’m riding a Hustler not an RL Pro. #oldschoolbmxfreestyle #njbmx #njbmxfreestyle #oldschoolbmx #oldschoolbmxlife
In the summer of 1984, on a @harobmx sport, I was filmed doing some short ramp work at Braddock BMX raceway in North Bergen, NJ. Later that year I would see the Vans team there with Mike D, Brian B, Martin and Woody. Riding on dirt is…fun. The earliest days of BMX freestyle in NJ. #oldschoolbmxfreestyle #oldschoolbmx #oldschoolbmxlife #njbmx
