A long time ago…about 1991, my team was asked by Bob Warnicke of the now defunct NBL to do a show at the USA Cycling Hall of Fame in Somerville, NJ to soften up their members to the idea of BMX being included. We went for it and became the first freestylers to show the road bike elite what BMX meant to us “freaks”. We did a good show with @gsbrodney and Eric Fleming and a couple other locals. Afterwards we broke bread in full freestyle outfits with those roadies and showed them that BMX was more than little kids. Not long after Stu would be inducted along with many others. But we were there first showing them BMX up close. Of all the little things we did this I am most stoked on. Luckily my Dad was there snapping me doing this table on my @harobmx 91 Master right in front of the hall. Salute to all the BMX homies who fought to make this all a reality.
