From 1979 to the winter of 1984, I raced BMX. Eventually grabbing #1 in my district for cruiser and #11 for 20”. Near the end of this time I also helped out at the nearest track to me, Braddock BMX in North Bergen NJ. Here I round a corner on my @redlinebicycles PL24 cruiser surprisingly in the lead. To the photos left, Mrs. Barbara Giaretta, Mom to a couple of real cool kids who knew what BMX was about. The year is 1985, the ever infamous GT/Mountain Dew ramp and a 1 hand 1 foot drop in. Before that ramp I had never ridden anything over 6’ tall so just standing up there was scary back then LOL! To think how big and gnarly vert ramps are now…it’s just funny. Rocking a full uniform and my green @harobmx master.
