Yep, as mentioned on Facebook a couple weeks ago, my friends, Eric Fleming, Rodney Morweiser, Mike Wilson and Ed Nussbaum did a freestyle show in front of the US Cycling Hall of Fame in the early 1990’s. This was done on the bequest of Bob Warnicke to instill the idea in the minds of the people who ran it that BMX was legitimate and exciting. So there we were a group of grungy, core, BMX freestylers, eating dinner with roadies in suits and ties. The future was here and Generation X was bringing it. This is me warming up before the show while my Mom watches in the background.
