(I’d like to preface this by saying all these pictures were taken with an iPhone 5s, no flash, in the dark…so) Chrissy and I, haven’t not had enough crazy burlesqueness in Jim Thorpe a week ago, decided to try and get some people together to check out NJ’s first Burlesque Festival in Asbury Lanes. We’d been there a few times for shows and had gotten a little burnt out as of late but this looked interesting enough to get us to head out. We rustled up some people and headed over. We thought the lanes would be more packed in than it was but the people who were there got a great show! We were lucky enough to get there early and sit in the front seats to get…ring side view of…the tassles, Our guests we brought with us had a great time and were pumped to see more! We also had lots of fun along with everyone else there. If you’ve never been to a burlesque show we highly recommend it. It’s fun, goofy and can even occasionally be slightly glamorous, a throwback to another era. Peruse the semi horrible phone pics at your leisure.
