1989. Lost In States. People hated the name, disliked the tour shirt and ya know what, we did a tour anyway. Jeff Mayer quit because I told him we didn’t have the money to bring Jon Byers. Brad McCarty replaced him. We lost 4 shows in Chicago and broke down in Indiana. Through it all we persevered. That year the BMX industry died. I would quit and run the Ramp-Ateria. Yea, I loved coming up with names for shit, and would continue riding for another 4 years hardcore till my knees and insurability said no more.
