Oh sorry, I saw “son” and immediately thought…well…
Anyway. Since I came upon the internet in the woe begone year of 1995 when Windows…um…95 came into being I have owned my own domain. The domain being middaugh.org. It’s not .com simply due to some cyber squatting company coming along and taking the domain and holding onto it for mucho dinero.
In the intervening almost 20 years I have updated and changed this site (yea really, here take a look. real old middaugh.org, sorta old middaugh.org, semi-recent middaugh.org) to sorta showcase where I came from, my family, stuff like that.
During that time my knowledge of life, the internet and even designing websites and the accompanying graphics, photos and stories has expanded greatly. As these things should if one is attempting to better themselves as their life progresses.
Now nearing the half century mark of life I want to let loose with the years of pent up revelations, musings, photos and life lessons that I have accumulated. Normally I would hold these things back but I have a beautiful muse in my life, my lady Christine Blake.
I met Christine in 2005 after going through a divorce and have had some amazing years with her. She’s been just the best partner one could ask for and has seen me work tirelessly at causes I believe in. Like my BMXNJ.com site which went for 8 years promoting BMX in New Jersey. A magazine named BMXNJ which complimented the site. She’s also been an artistic inspiration for me as she is an amazing pen and ink artist.
So what I am trying to prove her, is that life is meant to be a good time, to be fun, to be lived happily…comically, even when things seem particularly dire or insane…because that is when you need that comical musing, deep though on paper, cool photo or moment of realization that the worst hasn’t happened yet because, well..you are still here.
