The 1981 HARO Freestyle show in Howell, NJ at Bicycle World was a pretty big moment for BMX in NJ.
Bob Morales and Bob Haro brought their radness down there and showed NJ what freestyle was all about. Word has it that Bob tried to pick up Carol’s daughter after the show but she…turned him down. This is a BTS shot given to me by Carol years ago. I think that is Bob H doing an air on the slippery clear plexi quarters they had. The stone age of BMX freestyle.
